If you are on the hunt for a fun, fastpaced, hilariously decadent, and witty “whodunit”, look no further than Apple+ and their brand-new show, Palm Royale!

Set in Palm Beach in 1969, Palm Royale centers around washed-up beauty queen, Maxine Simmons, (perfectly played by Kristen Wiig) and her attempted rise from obscurity to the tip-top of elite Palm Beach society. As luck would have it, Maxine’s husband, Douglas, (played by none other than Josh Lucas) is the nephew, and only living relative of his ailing and comatose Aunt, Norma Dellacorte (Carol Burnett!), who is by all accounts one of the richest and most influential people in Palm Beach. Believing that the time is near for Norma, and that Douglas was set to inherit the Dellacorte fortune, Maxine begins plotting, lying, and bluffing her way into the circles that she so fervently seeks affirmation and acceptance from.

Palm Royale boasts a star-studded cast: Kristen Wiig, Josh Lucas, Carol Burnett, Laura Dern, Allison Janney, Ricky Martin and many others, who use their exceptional talents to deliver humor, intrigue, emotion and fun into each and every scene. So if you find yourself scrolling for something new to watch, give Palm Royale a chance, you won’t regret it!
